Please contact your insurance company to verify whether Dr. Barnhill or Dr. Stewart are on your approved provider group. If you have any questions, please call our office at 806-350-3500. PRE-SURGERY PREPARATION Patient responsibility before surgery: Call the hospital to set a pre-admit time before surgery. If you have a history of heart disease or any cardiac symptoms, you will need to have a written clearance from your PCP before you have your surgery. A surgical clearance will need to be faxed to 806-359-3094 prior to the procedure. DO NOT DRINK OR EAT ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR SURGERY. Have someone there to drive you home when you are discharged from the hospital. If you change insurance, please notify our office as soon as possible and bring a copy of the card when you receive it. Once we have the new information, we will call to preauthorize your surgery. All patients with a brace need to make sure the brace is cleaned prior to surgery date. Please remember to bring our brace with you to the hospital on surgery date with all parts. All patients bringing their own cold therapy unit to the hospital must make sure the cold therapy unit is clean.
